Message from the CEO of Catholic Charities
To ask a woman — pregnant, alone and vulnerable — not to have an abortion requires first that we show her a path to a life with her child. With your help, we are. Together, the vision we have pursued at Catholic Charities is now reality.
Marisol Services knits together medical services and social services into a continuum of care. In the past year, we’ve renovated and launched two Marisol Health medical centers and added two maternity homes. In addition, at two new Marisol Homes locations, we can serve a total of 22 families of single women and children, who were previously experiencing homelessness.
The success we’re having is phenomenal. In the past year, the number of clinic visits at our two Marisol Health locations has increased more than 143%. We have cared for more than 630 clients in the past year at Marisol Health, with more than 140 women who are pregnant. That means we are able to provide them with medical services, including prenatal care, plus a wide variety of social services.
All that is due to your generosity. Together, let’s celebrate on Saturday, January 27, 2018, at the seventh Beacon of Hope Gala. I encourage you to reserve a table for family and friends, and consider a prominent sponsorship opportunity.
Let’s continue charting a course that saves lives and provides hope to the most vulnerable among us.
