The Respect Life Office consults and collaborates with parishes, schools, faith-based organizations and other local educational institutions in building a culture of life based solidly on Catholic Social Teaching. The office spearheads a variety of educational initiatives to address serious human life issues affecting the unborn, disabled, elderly, incapacitated or otherwise vulnerable populations. We invite you to join the Respect Life Office in their efforts to bring “Prayer in the Square” with a public rosary held the first Saturday of the month. Learn more at prayerinthesquare.com

This ministry serves pregnant women and mothers of small children by offering emotional, spiritual and material support including free diapers, toiletries, food and baby equipment. Nine Gabriel Houses, almost entirely staffed by trained volunteers, are located on parish properties in Denver, Aurora, Lakewood, Eagle, Frisco, Fort Collins, Boulder and at Centro San Juan Diego, the center of Hispanic Ministry for the Archdiocese of Denver. Gabriel Project served over 8,000 families last year and distributed over 181,000 free diapers!

Marisol Maternity ministry has recently become part of the Catholic Charities’ continuum of care. The ministry has been operating for 17 years and currently runs two homes for up to 14 pregnant women in Arvada. The homes fill a specific need for pregnant women needing a nurturing environment. Marisol Maternity provides Christ-centered homes with life coaches and house mothers that help address the spiritual and material needs of the women that come to them. We are excited to have them become part of the Catholic Charities family.

Celebrate the Joy of Life!

Marisol Home is expanding into two homes and serving more single women and children experiencing homelessness. When mothers move back into the community, we continue to walk with them for as long as needed, helping them to regain stability and break the cycle of chronic homelessness.

Sacred Heart Counseling provides direct care to women, men and families who have been touched by abortion. This is accomplished through a network of specially trained individuals, including priests, deacons, sisters, therapists, chaplains, medical personnel and others. All Sacred Heart therapists are trained to offer Project Rachel post-abortive counseling.

Holy Rosary is a women’s shelter operating out of our homeless shelter, Samaritan House, located in downtown Denver. An average 150 women are sheltered and served every night at Holy Rosary, resulting on average about 3,500 nights of shelter a month. A second location was opened in December of 2015, which now averages an additional 2,250 nights of shelter a month for Holy Rosary.
